BREATHWORK FAQs

Please bring your "nest" -- whatever will make you comfortable laying on the floor for about an hour. Some suggestions are:
yoga mat or a camping sleeping pad
blanket
pillow
bolster for under your knees
eye mask
You may also consider bringing a water bottle, journal, and any important totem (crystal; photo).

Comfortable clothes you can easily breathe in. I personally love bringing layers (including socks) as the temperature of your body can fluctuate.

Yes, but aim for a light meal prior to breathwork (e.g., no lasagna), and nothing for at least an hour beforehand.

You may always invite others to join. I do recommend each person pre-registering as my events have limited spots available.

No, this style is circular connective breathwork, which evolved from the rebirthing style, and precedes holotropic. Most activated or deeper styles of breathwork have their roots in rebirthing or holotropic. Variations of these deeper styles also include transformational, shamanic, neurodynamic, owaken, and more.

While I will push you out of your comfort zone, I will first create a foundation of trust and unconditional positive regard so that you feel heard and supported throughout your journey. I believe in a flexible approach that includes checking in regularly to see what is working, what we should tweak, or start/stop.

That is absolutely okay! I meet you where you are and empower you toward where you want to go. For some clients the act of setting their goals and intentions is as deep into mindfulness as we’ll go. For others, we may start every session with a meditation. We will truly create a plan that is unique to you and fits YOUR needs.
